For general testing I use the DigiKeyboard which lets me print out values in a notepad, much like a serial monitor. And about that reset pin, you mean it's not actually usable with the standalone ATtiny85 IC?Īgain, my problem lies in not beign able to see what the circuit is doing.

So you're saying the USB is crashing because what I'm plugging into the PB3/4 ports is pulling voltage? I just need to use them as inputs to detect a very low voltage (around 170 out of the 1023 that would mean the full 5v). I only need the ATtiny85 chip, which is the one I'm programmig with the USBAsp separately from the Digispark. Just to clarify I'm not intending to use the Digispark in my project, I'm using it now because it is more practical for testing. so how the hell am I supposed to figure out what's wrong?! D: But when I program the ATtiny85 and connect it up, it's not working. The fact of the matter is that I essentialy can't debug my code with the Digispark because I cannot connect anything to those ports or else the USB fails. Ports PB2, PB3 and PB4 are the only ones capable of analog input, so having used up PB2 I need to use one of either.Ĭurrently I have the Digispark board, and also an ATtiny85 IC which I (tried) to program with an USBAsp v2.0. This results in a total of 4 digital pins and 2 analog pins. The servo and the button take up 1 port each, and the slides take up 4 in total - 1 digital and 1 analog. I have 1 servo, 1 pushbutton and 2 three-position slide switches. My problem is that ports PB3 and PB4 on the Digispark aren't really usable because when plugged to the computer those are used by the USB, so if I connect anything to them my PC won't recognize the device and basically I can't upload my code to it.
